Hi ALA!

We have join ALA as a non-profit organization.  If they had a category for broke bloggers I would have selected it instead.  But you do with what you got and that is the reason I joined.

After reading an interesting post by Bobbi Newman (http://librarianbyday.net/2012/01/31/the-first-rule-of-ala-executive-board-is-you-dont-talk-about-executive-board/) I got to thinking that participating in ALA is probably better than not participating.

My reasoning is that you do what can with what you have and if ALA is the De Facto leader it makes sense to engage with it, them, and whatever.

That said, we will keep raising hell and so should you.
